Damage was more to my pride than anything really, but I'm still pissed at myself. (not my wheel pictured, I'm too mad to look at the actual wheel right now.)

if it's only as bad as the picture it's easily repaired.
Kinda fun too, if you're into the whole DYI thing.
see below MCM video for reference:

One day, when I finally get a place with a garage ...

Putting a cover over my car every day after work and then removing it in the morning got old on like the second day.

you can do this outside or in a ventilated room (just use a tarpaulin or canvas so you don't get over-spray on everything).
Just do it one wheel at a time, put the spare on while you work on the guttered wheel.

I share your pain. My wife curbed one of those beautiful 20 inch wheels that come on the Grand Cherokee Overland. I cried a little.

Did the same a few weeks ago. It happened the evening before I left for New Orleans (driving) and my girlfriend looked at me and said "well that's a bad omen for the trip!"
I was pissed but when I cleaned the car last Friday I could barely tell where the scratches were.

I get mine touched up every few years. But to get them back to like-new condition, it costs upwards of 100 bucks a wheel.

This happened to me after I got my 6i. I was so mad. I was trying to calm down in the car before I went inside quiznos for lunch. But I was hungry. So I made them make me a sandwhich that did not exist because I was so steaming I could not focus on the menu. They looked so confused. I was thanking them and apologizing but still made. They must have been like omg this guy is crazy! I was just upset about my wheel.

Lol. I feel your pain. I had backed into a spot with a curb directly to my right. I go to make a right, out of the spot, and my right rear clips the corner of the curb, making my whole car go up and over... Luckily i didnt hit the rim, but i put a nice mark in the tire.
Worst part is the gas attendant saw me do that, so when i got out of the car to look at what i thought was damage, he came over and i had to explain myself... I was pissed at myself and embarrassed i was seen.
So what did i do. Bought another set of wheels and tires. Problem solved. haha.
